Rooty Hill School Mural

Name:  Enhancing Nature-Based Learning and Indigenous Art

Method: Spray Paint

Client: Rooty Hill Public School

Location: Rooty Hill , NSW

Year: 2020

Rooty Hill Public School was inspired by the captivating murals we had previously created at Berala Public School, prompting them to approach Blackbook Ink for their own transformative project.

They presented us with a long red brick wall that overlooked the students’ playground, envisioning a nature-themed mural featuring various Australian animals. Our artist conceptualized a design incorporating the Blue Wairy Wren, Kangaroos, and a Lorikeet. In addition, our talented team member from Burruguu Art contributed indigenous art elements, showcasing animal footprints painted on tree silhouettes that aligned with the classrooms lining up in front of the wall.

Following the successful completion of this impactful mural, we were subsequently commissioned to paint another wall adjacent to the initial building, extending the same engaging theme. This time, the artist skillfully depicted two galahs above the bubblers, adding vibrant visual elements to the area. Moreover, a smaller wall in the car park was also adorned with art to further enhance the overall aesthetic.

At Blackbook Ink, we take great pride in our ability to create mesmerizing murals that transform educational spaces. Our talented team of artists combines artistic vision, expertise, and a deep understanding of the educational context to deliver exceptional results.
