Blackbook Ink is a Sydney-based mural and graffiti art studio creating custom murals, street art, public art and brand-led artwork across Australia.
Founded by artist Brode Compton in 2011, Blackbook Ink has grown from graffiti roots into a professional mural studio trusted by schools, councils, developers, businesses and major brands.
With more than 670 murals completed and over 25 years of aerosol art experience, we combine creative skill, site-specific design and professional project delivery to create murals that feel connected to the spaces they belong in.
Our work spans murals, graffiti art, street art, school murals, commercial murals, community murals and public art, brand activations and live art.
Our Mission
“TO TURN OUR CLIENTS’ VISIONS INTO REALITY”
At Blackbook Ink, our goal is to create artwork that is visually strong, professionally delivered and meaningful to the people who experience it.
We don’t just paint walls. We create murals that respond to the site, the brief and the community around them.
Every project is guided by three things:
- The purpose of the space
- The people who will use it
- The story the artwork needs to tell
From Graffiti Roots to Professional Mural Practice
Blackbook Ink was founded by Brode Compton, also known as Sekt Compton, whose graffiti journey began in 1999.
What started with aerosol cans and sketchbooks evolved into a professional mural practice built on technical skill, creative direction and a deep understanding of how artwork functions in real-world environments.
Today, Blackbook Ink delivers large-scale murals, urban art, public art, school murals, commercial artworks and brand activations across Sydney and Australia.
