The City of Ryde Council approached our team of skilled graffiti artists with a compelling project: to create a mural on the side of Pet Barn at Trim Place in Gladesville. The overarching objective of this artwork was to raise community awareness about the pressing issue of littering in our waterways, with a specific focus on the proximity of the Parramatta River. The mural aimed to evoke a sense of responsibility and mindfulness by visually depicting the consequences of improper waste disposal.

Through a carefully crafted concept, the mural conveyed a harmonious coexistence between people enjoying the river and the underwater ecosystem, juxtaposed with the visible presence of litter and marine life. The artwork served as a powerful reminder that any rubbish discarded into drains or the local environment can ultimately find its way into the river, impacting the delicate balance of aquatic ecosystems.

By showcasing this vibrant mural, the City of Ryde Council and the community as a whole sought to encourage a sense of environmental stewardship and instill a collective commitment to preserving our waterways. The visual impact of the mural aimed to inspire reflection, conversation, and positive action among residents, visitors, and passersby.
